Inclusions are generally avoided when the stone is to be set onto a jewel. Some cabochons with highlighted inclusions can be found on the market as they eventually make very nice jewelry.
Inclusions are important clues during the identification of a stone. They can give us information on the nature of the stone (natural or synthetic), whether it underwent a treatment or not. (heating or oiling for instance). They can indicate their geographic origin.
Some of these inclusions are interesting to observe and to photograph.
